To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook mango besan burfi using 6 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.
The ingredients needed to make Mango Besan Burfi:
- Take 2 big mango cut into cubes(1 cup or more pulp)
- Prepare 1 cup besan
- Prepare 1/4 cup Milk powder
- Make ready 1 cup sugar
- Take 1/4 tsp elaichi powder
- Take 4-5 tbsp ghee
Put it in a mixie and make a fine paste. For one medium size mango, you will get one cup of mango pulp. In a kadai put a tablespoon of ghee and add besan flour. Fry in a medium heat till nice aroma comes out and the colour changes to light brown.
Steps to make Mango Besan Burfi:
- In a mixer jar add cut mango cubes, milk powder,sugar and make a thick smooth pulp.
- In a thick bottom kadai heat 3 tbsp ghee. Add besan and stir it continuously till you get a nice aroma and besan changes it's colour. Remove it from Kadai.
- Now in same Kadai add the prepared mango pulp. Add elaichi powder and stir continuously till the pulp becomes in thick consistency.
- At this stage add the roasted besan into the mango pulp. Keep stirring continuously till it forms the burfi consistency.
- Here in the below picture you can see that mixture is in burfi consistency.
- Transfer this mixture to a burfi tray or plate greased with ghee. Add finely chopped cashew nuts on it. Allow it to cool and set. Then cut into pieces of your choice.
- Enjoy delicious Mango Besan Burfi.
This delicious vegan mango burfi fudge will get you started for the celebration! Use really ripe mango puree for the best results. Add saffron or cardamom or vanilla extract for variations in taste. These burfis are soft, melt in your mouth fudgy. If you like ripe mango, you will love these.
